The shinty authorities keep trying to get the men who play shinty to wear helmets, but most of them regard it as effeminate to do so. They'd rather swing fucking great sticks at each other's unprotected heads.

We played Oz Rules in school.. the object of the game was to inflict harm on other players as I recall.
