The Iraq War: 10 years later

Iraq, 10 years on: Did invasion bring 'hope and progress' to millions as Bush vowed?

http://worldnews.nbcnews.com/_news/2013 ... vowed?lite

You can tell NBC is a bit reluctant to stick its neck out and just declare, "No, it was one of the worst blunders in US military history". Just the headline alone is bullshit, as the invasion wasn't sold to the US primarily as a "Let's give the Iraqi's hope" mission, but as a required response to S. Hussein's alleged stockpiling of WMD's.

Subsequent leaks and insider information revealed that Cheney and Rumsfeld were looking for an excuse to invade Iraq from day one, and 9-11 gave them the perfect opportunity to do so.
If you don't like being called "stupid", then stop saying stupid things.

Iraq was invaded for two reasons: Oil and to put more forward bases around Iran.

The rest is whitewash for the masses.
