DP will be installing the software this weekend.
Then we'll be testing the structure and looking at the layout. When it's stable we'll let you in to continue testing and checking for bugs.
We're going to start with 4-6 admin peoples. Everyone that has volunteered has my thanks, and we'll keep you on the short list for staff as the place grows. (Like I said, we get over a million hits a month on the two sites, which MAY translate into a lot of traffic. Or not.)
Everyone is encouraged to provide feedback on everything. We have the luxury of not being in a life-boat situation here, so we can get it right before going "live".

DP and I will be rattling around in the forum when it's installed. Once we have the egg-on-face problems fixed we'll post here.AshtonBlack wrote:Fantastic. Just let me know when, where, and how hard!Gawdzilla wrote:Here is where we are now.

The world is a thing of utter inordinate complexity and richness and strangeness that is absolutely awesome. I mean the idea that such complexity can arise not only out of such simplicity, but probably absolutely out of nothing, is the most fabulous extraordinary idea. And once you get some kind of inkling of how that might have happened, it's just wonderful. And . . . the opportunity to spend 70 or 80 years of your life in such a universe is time well spent as far as I am concerned.

Re: First troll for history-oriented talent for a new forum.
Okay, let's discuss structure here. Input?
First thoughts:
The Arsenal (For weapons related discussion.)
Cryppie bunker (For the "Magical" aspects of the war, and the "Enigmas" that were solved.)
CCC (Command, Control and Communication discussion.)
After Action Reports (Discussion of histories of events.)
(Explanatory notes provided below the titles, of course.)
Remember, we're focusing on the contents of PHA and Hyperwar here, so the structure should be related to the contents of the two sites.

Re: First troll for history-oriented talent for a new forum.
Okay, we have minimum staff for the new forum. Thanks to everybody who volunteered and you're on the short list if we need more help.
The forum is at hyperwar-ghq.com, come check it out. Right now it's not been advertised, so it's low/no traffic. However, I have no idea what will happen when Patrick and I put link on our websites. Current traffic to the two sites is over 1.5 million hits a month. If 0.1% of those visits result in a visit to GHQ we would have, erm, . . . a lot of visits.
