So to sum up: no, Dawkins doesn’t think that pigs and humans share a genome, but he does seem to buy into the Religious Rights’ dual arguments that fetuses can feel pain during some abortions and that that pain may be great enough to trump a woman’s right to make decisions about her own body. Unfortunate.

Err... Watson...most people are not absolutist about abortion. Every jurisdiction in the western world that allows abortions restricts late term abortions to some degree. A woman does not have the "right to make decisions about her own body" any more or less than anyone else does, and there are many laws restricting what men and women can do with their own bodies.

Yes, a 38 week fetus has an interest in surviving, and I guarantee the fetus feels pain at that age.

If someone takes an equal and opposite extremist position you tend to get a bit squashed if you take a middle of the road position yourself.

Then again I'm not pro choice, I'm pro abortion I think we don't have enough of them. Every abortion of an unwanted child is one less person who is going to grow up , will never work , will end up in prison and possible end up mugging me. Forget free abortions on the NHS we should pay people to have them , Anyone who is a decent person would be appalled by such an idea but the ones who take the money arent fit parents anyway
