Lots of people still use torrents...lots. I don't know what "most people" means? You have some kind of study on this?

I'm sure are there lots of people who still torrent. Just saying it's out of trend and it's risky. I've gotten two messages from my ISPs over the years telling me to stop torrenting shit and none from streaming. Plus with cheaper and more readily available broadband Internet, streaming HD is so much easier.

Is it really out of "trend"? Not sure about that. I got a msg once from my isp so I changed isp's. Haven't heard from the new one at all. I don't know how risky it is either really. For some reason I prefer torrents over streaming, I think it's just personal preference but a lot of people still use torrents.

I don't believe this is a commercial deal at all. DPRK is out on an internet publicity streak anyway (e.g. http://www.rationalia.com/forum/viewtop ... a#p1375680). And what could be more perfect communism, than Pirate Bay?

China would definitely censor and probably wouldn't allow it at all for foreign policy reasons. Russia has been a haven for hackers, crackers, slackers, and pirates for decades though. They also have an advanced telecommunications infrastructure.

I remember an episode of "Top Gear" where the boys pointed out maybe a dozen cars that looked exactly like cars that were make elsewhere. None of the cars had been licensed and no fees were paid to the creators of the vehicles. China would be fine with TPB.

And China could simply ban domestic access to the site to avoid "Western contamination".
