Yah, I've heard about that trend in parts of Europe. They're cutting back their armed forces (less ships, aircraft, ground forces) and the US is sorta following suit (more out of necessity). I think only Canada is boosting up their defenses.

My dad says similar things. Germany is taking over Europe through economics rather than through the military. I prefer the former. I mean they have to take over Europe somehow every half century or so. To not let them do so is cruel!

The Germans can quickly change from making friendly gadgets to building guns, warplanes, bombs and other things like mines, missiles, grenades and rocket launchers. It is in their character to do this. You can trust 'em. It'll come at a price this retrenchment.
