Todd Akin thinks that a standard gynecological procedure is abortion ("aborting women who are not pregnant")

I wouldn't be surprised if he and his ilk would like to have women &

I don't know if you can see that discussion. I am not allowed to post on that thread. But I would say they skip over the whole history of Rome and the Meditarranean languages issue. Islam comes through Arabic.

It's a recent book by Vincent Bugliosi.

I only needed one review to dismiss his "agnostic is right" philosophy.

One thing that disturbs Bugliosi about evolution is the fact that if we truly did evolve from monkeys or apes then why do they still exist? Shouldn't they have all evolved into humans?! I'm not kidding, that is on page 64 of this book.

He seems to have written a Helter Skelter book as well

A good way to address this for Vince is to say "If chimpanzees evolved from a common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees, then why do humans exist? Shouldn't they all be chimpanzees?"

She's a fool and a good case of people confusing science and religion. Interestingly, many believers have categorically stated that a fertilized egg is a human being. I have asked them repeatedly if that means that an ovum is half a person or if a spermatozoon is half a person. They never answer. The reason why is obvious: if they say that a fertilized egg is a person, then a sperm cell is half a person. Therefore a nocturnal emission would be the accidental murder of half a 20K human beings and masturbation would be the willful murder of half a 20K human beings. Likewise, every time a woman has her menstrual period an ovum is wasted and a potential human being isn't conceived. Why stop with worshiping a fertilized egg when there are all those hemi-persons just waiting to be born?

One guy foolishly told me that the issue was the soul. So I asked him if an ovum contained half a soul and the sperm cell had the other half. He said no but wouldn't go any further. I said the implication was that God was watching everyone have sex and waiting for the moment of fertilization to inject the soul into the newly fertilized egg. Wouldn't that make YHWH a cosmic voyeur? He got all offended at that point and said I was just making fun of his beliefs. I said that I was speculating about the ramifications of his beliefs. The real problem as I see it is that believers rarely think through their beliefs.
