Re: Tero's Atheist Ramblings
There was some discussion of the units of fundity, and how much banging of the head on the desk they would cause
But it was too far back to track down a FLOB{snork}
SH might want to go look at a dictionary (maybe in the pubic library) to see the difference between "a quantum" and "a quantity"
And in my observation, fundie posts usually contain a few teraFLOBs of crap, which amounts to a big pile of ...

TJ Kirk got on CNN. Craig: atheism is 2-3-%. Anchor lady: 5%. Kirk agrees.
Craig got into a suit for 2 min on CNN.

Re: Tero's Atheist Ramblings
http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dilation_and_curettage
Todd Akin thinks that a standard gynecological procedure is abortion ("aborting women who are not pregnant")
(from elsewhere)
atheist 1:I think the idiot Akin may be referring to dilation and
curettage (D&C)? Anti abortion websites sometimes describe the
procedure (complete with lurid illustrations) as "abortion" -- in fact
it's rarely used for that, but it is indicated for certain other
gynecologic conditions -- I wonder if Akin, with his foggy
understanding of those "wimmin things", has imagined that D&Cs are
"giving abortions to women who are not actually pregnant"?
I wouldn't be surprised if he and his ilk would like to have women &
their doctors subject to criminal investigation after every visit to a
gynecologist.
Good grief.
atheist 2:
Only a partially educated numbskull would think that a D&C was an
abortion. But you're right. That's probably what Akin was talking
about.

Catch of the day
from Charisma News:
Kimberly Daniels wrote: Father, we ask You to reveal Your Son, Jesus, to our president as the only way to God. We ask You to cause him to have a Saul-to-Paul experience. Release the pricks and goads upon his heart at an accelerated pace so that his heart will turn to the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Deliver him and let him experience a genuine new birth in his spirit. God, deal with our president about the innocent bloodshed of the unborn and the sanctity of marriage.
Open doors for true prophets to speak to Obama in the White House. We bind the ministry of psychics, the teaching of black liberation theology, and every New Age and secular humanist doctrine away from the White House...
Anoint the Secret Service agents with a double portion throughout the rest of President Obama's tenure. We bind the spirit of the double agent. We come against the Judas spirit in the Secret Service, CIA, NSA and FBI in the name of Jesus.
Lord, we come against every stronghold that keeps the president from the truth. We break every soul tie and vow that has been established between him and Harvard, secret societies and the Illuminati.
We declare that even the cabinet that is around him will bow to Jesus. We plead the blood of Jesus over Obama's head so that the pressure of the office will not keep him up all night. Every tormenting spirit sent by a witch or warlock is bound in Jesus' name.
Lord, expose the work of every witch, sorcerer, spiritualist or person from the dark side operating through his cabinet members or through anyone else closely associated with him. We block the power of the influence of the Yorùbá religion and all other groups of black people who worship their ancestors, in Jesus' name. We put barriers around the United States that will bind and block the witchcraft coming from Kenya to influence our president in Jesus' name. Let the power of every dedication of his past be broken, in Jesus' name...
We drown every spirit traveling from overseas to wreak havoc. We bind the spirit of havoc and chaos from birthing martial law in the land. We bind spirits that would cause us to lose our constitutional and civil liberties. We declare that the gospel and those who preach it shall have free course in the earth.
We break all agreements between Barack Obama and the nations of the Middle East that would cause America to turn its back on Israel.

I don't know if you can see that discussion. I am not allowed to post on that thread. But I would say they skip over the whole history of Rome and the Meditarranean languages issue. Islam comes through Arabic.

I only needed one review to dismiss his "agnostic is right" philosophy.
He seems to have written a Helter Skelter book as wellOne thing that disturbs Bugliosi about evolution is the fact that if we truly did evolve from monkeys or apes then why do they still exist? Shouldn't they have all evolved into humans?! I'm not kidding, that is on page 64 of this book.

A good way to address this for Vince is to say "If chimpanzees evolved from a common ancestor of humans and chimpanzees, then why do humans exist? Shouldn't they all be chimpanzees?"

Re: Tero's Atheist Ramblings
Catch if the day
She's a fool and a good case of people confusing science and religion. Interestingly, many believers have categorically stated that a fertilized egg is a human being. I have asked them repeatedly if that means that an ovum is half a person or if a spermatozoon is half a person. They never answer. The reason why is obvious: if they say that a fertilized egg is a person, then a sperm cell is half a person. Therefore a nocturnal emission would be the accidental murder of half a 20K human beings and masturbation would be the willful murder of half a 20K human beings. Likewise, every time a woman has her menstrual period an ovum is wasted and a potential human being isn't conceived. Why stop with worshiping a fertilized egg when there are all those hemi-persons just waiting to be born?
One guy foolishly told me that the issue was the soul. So I asked him if an ovum contained half a soul and the sperm cell had the other half. He said no but wouldn't go any further. I said the implication was that God was watching everyone have sex and waiting for the moment of fertilization to inject the soul into the newly fertilized egg. Wouldn't that make YHWH a cosmic voyeur? He got all offended at that point and said I was just making fun of his beliefs. I said that I was speculating about the ramifications of his beliefs. The real problem as I see it is that believers rarely think through their beliefs.
