Police in England and Wales 'to recruit from outside'

Plans to allow police forces in England and Wales to recruit senior officers directly from outside the service are to be detailed by the government later.

Among the ideas expected to be included in a consultation document is permitting senior police officers from overseas to join as chief constables.

The current system sees all recruits begin work as a constable, regardless of age, skills or experience.

Many in the police service have already voiced opposition to direct entry.

What foreigners we are all citizens of the European Union.

Could care less what the citizenship is of anyone as long as they do their job. I would assume a German could already be PM if they are resident in the UK

I'm a nationalist at heart. Unless they are seventh generation here they should either go back or be sent to Ireland to help out with the burger industry.

The population is too high in the UK to be sustainable. And the most obvious thing to do is to turf out new comers after the coming global economic collapse shuts off food imports. There are hundreds of thousands who don't even speak our language and millions who hold to a medieval honour culture at odds with our basic values. What are they doing here? Haven't they somewhere else to go?
