Schrodingers Cat?

Post by cronus » Tue Jan 29, 2013 3:50 pm

I'm just thinking if it is a closed and fully sealed box with no air holes then all you have to do is wait a couple of weeks and you can be sure it is a dead cat.

Not necessarily. Depends on the size of the box.

Before he can prove his theory, he has to prove it's his cat.
He'd be fucked if it turned out to be Weiner's cat.
After all, he's only famous because of his cat.

Deep down, it is a question about the human concept of random. The deeper one looks at the concept, the weirder it becomes...
Nurse, where the fuck's my cardigan?
And my gin!

Yes. I always liked the concept that to everyone but the person who measures the cat's state, it is still alive and dead until they are also told the result.

This lead me to consider that the many worlds theory can only pertain to observable phenomenon and thus necessitates perceptual apparatus. In short, We all live in slightly different realities.
