It's like people forgot what Timbuktu was and how it acquired it's fame and fortune.
The Auschwitz of Africa for hundreds of years.

That's VERY naughty.
How do they get it on CD then?
Someone should point out that there were copies of the Kuran in that library. So, the Islamic Militants burned the Koran, for sure.

They'd claim wrong 'Koran' and so trump your bid. With 'magic' anything is possible? :dunno:
What will the world be like after its ruler is removed?

This gave me an idea. The Koran is like a sacred cow to them right? They can't let anything bad happen to even one? Lets print about 500 billion copies and airdrop them over the insurgents. They'll be so busy tending their new Korans they won't have time to do terrorist type stuff.

Not the only books (not to mention monuments destroyed to build their stupid churches) the fucking christians burnt. Sick of these fucking religious fucks. Really.

Well, replacing one reeking altar with another -- meh. The Aztecs sacrificed humans to their gods. The Christians reenact the same sacrifice over and over and then pretend to eat his flesh and drink his blood. It's all the same shit upside down.

...and that makes burning books and destroying monuments, not to mention entire cultures OK with you? Well, can't say I'm surprised.

No, I didn't say that at all. I'm against those silly Muslims burning books. Like the Christians and the Aztecs, dopey religious cultists.

Could you imagine if a Muslim burned a copy of The God Delusion? Or, worse yet, Saint Christopher Hitchens magnum opus 'God is Not Great'? We'd go apeshit!

It's no surprise to me that one religious group would destroy another religious group's stuff. The Muslims do it all the time. The Christians do it all the time. It's no surprise, so -- meh.

And American TV has destroyed Canuckian Culture. We actually sent people up there to turn on the boob tubes and hold guns to people's head to make them watch.
