Rottweilers are dangerous dogs

Post by Horwood Beer-Master » Fri Jan 25, 2013 2:11 am

The BBC wrote:Dartford dog starts fire by turning on hob

A Rottweiler started a fire in a house by turning on a cooker hob which had a pile of laundry sitting on it.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service said the dog set fire to a load of laundry left on the hob while the the homeowner went to collect her daughter from nursery.

She returned to the house in Willow Road, Dartford at 12:12 GMT to find smoke coming from the property.

The woman rescued the dog but had to be treated for the effects of smoke inhalation.

Ambulance crews took her to hospital for precautionary checks.

The fire destroyed part of the kitchen and caused smoke damage throughout the house.
See? Dangerous. :tea:

Rottweilers just aren't the right breed for that job. They should have bought a laundry terrier.

My cat sat on the remote control in the middle of the night switching the TV on to maximum volume, thought we had a burgular (who liked TV) . Good job Seth wasnt there as it would be goodbye cat

Not quite sure how they determined the bit in between "leaving house to get daughter" and "came home to house on fire". How do they get "the dog turned the hob on" from that?

:dunno: Maybe the dog had a history of doing this; only there hadn't previously been a load of laundry on the hob?

This was the first time she'd trusted the dog to get lunch ready for when she got back.

It was the cat's fault. It was supposed to pack the washing away.
