Re: Merkan politics in one picture.
I think I understand the symbolism of Bigfoot.. he represents Canadian "socialism" and marijuana (everyone knows Bigfoot lives in British Columbia). That's one crude drawing of an M60, but I suppose that's what it is, so that represents America's inclination to fight in futile, pointless wars (M60 saw a lot of use in Vietnam). The burning forest and waving flag represent the American will to 'burn it all down' in pursuit of their holy flag. I'm still working on the radioactive FDR.

It does kind of look like the bastard child of a B.A.R. and an M-60 at that.Wumbologist wrote:Shoulda given him a BAR.

If so, I remember firing one in Cadets in the 60s, although our standard weapon was the WW2 Lee-Enfield...

I'll grant you the "I don't know what" part. As I recall, in his younger days, Teddy was a noted hunter and naturalist. It makes the graphic considerably less figurative.

Yep, the B.A.R. was the Squad Automatic Weapons of WWII for the US. The SMLE was a great rifle as well. Long serving piece.JimC wrote:The old Browning Automatic Rifle?Wumbologist wrote:Shoulda given him a BAR.

And more sublimely absurd to me. Teddy was more likely to have tea with a sasquatch than shoot one.rasetsu wrote:I'll grant you the "I don't know what" part. As I recall, in his younger days, Teddy was a noted hunter and naturalist. It makes the graphic considerably less figurative.
