Fuck you Rum.
How nice of you.

However I have come to the conclusion that as the evidence seems pretty conclusive that lack of gun control clearly results in the multiple murder of children that people who support guns in the way you do are therefore clearly child killers.

Here, for example, when the last similar atrocity was committed in 1996 our gun laws, already tight, were tightened much further and we have had no school based child killings since.

Seems pretty logical to me.

Seth's more a Anders Brevik man, no evidence the American school ones were motivated by any ideology, but the marxists and foreigners are everywhere , get your guns ready is pure Seth

Yep, except one side effect is dead children whose right to 'life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness' appears to be trumped by the second amendment.

Not being funny, but I have made far worse comments about Seth and havent got any warnings.

I feel like mine arent being taken seriously or are just too subtle and think I should get some

I don't agree. I have explained elsewhere why I think of the gun lobby as child killers. It is a point of view, not an attack. I have also reported Seth. Sadly my opinion was dealt with before his personal attack.

I've found that it's easier to not comment in posts where Seth is spewing his nonsense. It would be a guaranteed warning-fest headed my way. Talk about buying into the whole "Red under the bed" mythology spewed out during the Cold War. Hook line and sinker with Mr Sethy-pants.

A wise strategy. I don't respond for the most part, but his justification of child killing is a step too far.

That, Rum, if I may say, is a cheap shot. How many children per year are killed by vehicles? Should we call those who drive "child killers"? What about all the abusive parents that kill their children, should I say that parents are "child killers"?

To be fair though, the post you wrote which you were given a warning for, to me, looked like you were accussing Seth of being a wishy washy liberal type.

A few things that might help:

Not all insults constitute a personal attack. Quite a lot depends on the wording. If it is subtle enough, it can escape notice, especially if no one reports it.

Staff can't read every post in every thread. If you've seen personal attacks that haven't garnered any staff action, consider the possibility that staff didn't see it because nobody reported it.

Responses to posts can't always follow chronological order or order of importance/severity. We can only respond after staff comes to a consensus. Blatant rule violations tend to get quicker responses and those less clear-cut require more discussion.

"Fuck you" isn't a personal attack, nor is "fuck off."

Not sure if that helps, but I hope so.

Heh, I pointed that latter issue out elsewhere. This steaming pile of Randroid faeces was his response.

But of course, in SethWorldTM, using the statute book to stop rapacious and piratical people and organisations with money and power from shitting on the rest of us is "Marxist". I bet the people of Bhopal wished better regulation had been in place, to stop Union Carbide taking advantage of sweatshop labour conditions to park a dodgy factory in the middle of a large town. But I suppose I'll be labelled a "Marxist" for suggesting this, despite the fact that I handed him his arse on a plate over this elsewhere.
