Robert Sand was arrested by authorities in Los Angeles on December 18, 2012 for failure to pay mandatory child support payments. He has been dubbed as the "Most Wanted Deadbeat Dad" in America by the U.S. Inspector General's Office. Sand reportedly owes more than $1.2 million in back child support for his three children from two marriages. He was first ordered to pay child support back in 1996, and warrants for his arrest were issued in 2000, 2002, and 2010. He managed to elude federal authorities for years by moving to Florida and then to Thailand.

Stacy Stracener pleaded guilty to 11 counts of First Degree Sexual Assault and two counts of Second Degree Sexual Assault. She is a former science teacher at Cabot Junior High North in Arkansas and was arrested in February of this year for inappropriate contact with a 15-year old male student. Prosecutors have recommended a 15 year prison sentence, but she will be formally sentenced in January 2013.

So basically, this woman invited one of her pupils to romp in the sack with her. And for her pains, is facing 15 years in the slammer.

When I was 15 I so wanted to bang my English teacher.. she sorta looked like Bella come to think of it.

Heh, in my last year of grammar school, I had a form teacher who was a classic example of serious crush material. She had no trouble keeping the class under control, because I don't think there was anyone in the class who didn't fancy her - the girls included! As for the boys, well, I suspect if they had ever got the chance to misbehave with her, they'd have regarded scoring with her as every fantasy cone true all at once. If you want an idea what this particular teacher of mine was like, think Helena Bonham Carter in her younger days (a la Room With a View), only blonde, but with the same posh accent, and, shall we say, somewhat more visible curves under her sweater. Serious hard on material for every hormonal teenage boy within a five mile radius.

Interesting though. We seem to have no problem with this happening when it is a adult woman and a teenaged boy. But we seem, as a society, to go nuts when the sexes are reversed. Just recently with that teacher from England and his teenaged student.

It was OK in high school, to have the crush, as most of us could move on and forget them. In college, we had a teaching assistant who would sit facing us on her desk in her mini skirt. Guys would just stare and never hear what she said. I looked at the desk to take notes. One guy had to ask her at the end what the assignment was. She would need to write it on the board, so he could comprehend.

She had a boyfriend, he showed up after the second class. Maybe on purpose.

As an undergrad, I had to take a theater class. The TA was a somewhat plump, short, and ugly woman. On the first day she ran the class, she came to the back and told me and my friends that if we slept with her, she would give us an A and we wouldn't have to show up for class again.

Three of my friends did it (I didn't). They said it was horrible, but they got their A.

I am not very politically correct on this.

My view is that a male teacher who seduces a young gal should be tossed in the slammer for 15 years, but a female teacher who seduces a young guy should lose her job, and no further punishment.

The thing is that a girl who is seduced has a lot more to lose, including pregnancy, reputation, and heart ache. A guy who is seduced is more likely to suddenly become the class hero. Nothing to lose and everything to gain.

The male is a predator doing great harm. The female seducer is likely to harm herself, but the guy she seduces will be better off. Her crime is victim-less. I went to a boys school and had only male teachers, but some of the teachers at the girls school down the road looked great! I would have loved to become the seduced guy.

If so, it's one that I agree with, and I suspect that it reflects the biological reality of Homo sapiens...

But 100% definite on the automatic sacking - it is unprofessional, to say the least...
