Texas secession, what's the skinny?

Post by Svartalf » Fri Dec 14, 2012 2:41 pm

I thought it was just a tiny minority of loons and other fans of rick perry signing a petition that will never go anywhere...

but this is making a lot more noise than expected, and a lot longer, so what'ss there that I'm missing from my unconvenient vantage point?

The rest of the country is just having fun making Texas look like a bunch of loons. It's home to Bush Jr. and Rick Perry. There is no real secessionist movement beyond a few actual loons. (I just moved away from Austin after living there 25+ years, I know the state's politics.)

It's a passive-aggressive response to the black democrat with the foreign sounding name being re-elected.
