It's purely random, FBM.
No, it's not.

And FBM's little emotional meltdown here in this thread is an obvious case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Oh, and having just been handed a list by XC, I'll simply add that FBM's childish display of petulance is both self-serving and inept.

He claims that my opinion carries no weight, but it's patently obvious it does, otherwise he wouldn't be moved to such extravagant protestations.

To repeat a phrase that Cunt used when I was repeatedly attacked by Morticia in my entry thread here at Ratz, "look at all this sauce!"

That much sauce doesn't come from confronting someone whose opinion doesn't matter to you.

I make no bones about my thinking FBM to be intellectually incompetent, and his raising hell over my pointing out a specific incompetence which he quite recently openly conceded in another thread is pathetically self-serving.

That he considers himself to be God's gift to serious discussion is obvious to anyone who has attempted to engage him in serious discussion, and I suggest that it his ego over this specific point which is generating all this sauce.

I've often wondered why FBM chose to pursue both philosophy and a path as a Buddhist monk, as in my view he lacks the spiritual and intellectual chops to be good at either. I guess if you can't dazzle them with brilliance..

...baffle them with bullshit, and an extended bit of unsubstantiated character assassination.

Regardless, my reputation as a thinker rests on firm bedrock, and despite his moronically self-serving attack on my character, is not likely to be moved by unsubstantiated accusations and emotional bullshit.

It remains to be seen whether or not this does or does not persuade me to leave rationalia for good. I get attacked by Dunning-Krugers, liars and assholes on other forums, but it only seems to become a problem on this forum.

I'm not exactly sure why that is, but I'm ready to lay some of the blame for that on the moderation staff here at Rationalia.

But I don't really care that much. You've shown that you have little more than C&P skills. I'm disappointed, but I no longer think I have anything to learn from you. You had me going for a while, though. But not I think you're just another internet narcissist who sees every discussion as a contest for intellectual supremacy and spends more time on honing one-upsmanship skills than acumen. If that weren't the case, you'd have engaged me with something intellectually substantial instead of adolescent foot-stamping and name-calling. But your apparent personality problem is yours to solve, not mine. Goodbye.

Oddly FBM has always come over to me as a decent guy - a nice one too, as well as knowledgeable about Buddhism. I know this because I am too, whereas on both counts..

Thank you for your honesty and candor, Rum. I now know that you don't consider me a nice and decent person, and that you have serious doubts about my knowledge of Buddhism.

However, since the claim was that he was ignorant of Hinduism, not Buddhism, all you've managed to do is reveal your own incompetence, as well as some rather unexplained hostility.

It's all hurty in here :(
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

You are right Tatt. Paradoxical considering the topic.

I shall refrain and desist.

Us atheists are so intellectually poor we don't understand this stuff. I can't even make myself type a whole paragraph anymore about stuff that isn't.

Are you attempting to imply that this altercation has its roots in the fact that I'm not an atheist?

Not paradoxical at all given that the 'rational religion' referenced by the topic is none other than Buddhism, and the person raising a stink about my character for doubting his competence on matters relating to Hinduism is a Former Buddhist Monk.

Why you consider that in the least bit paradoxical is itself paradoxical to me.
