I'm sure they have no interest in meeting you either. I know I don't.

I have better things to do with my time.
The thing is, we don't mind if you don't own guns, we just object when you try to interfere with our right to do so.
Like avoid getting shot by duck hunters when I look for winter birds.
Two options come to mind: a) stop dressing up like a duck; and b) quit trying to scare away the ducks from the hunters, who, unlike you, actually pay for habitat protection and restoration with the taxes they pay on guns and ammunition, and they actually participate in habitat protection and restoration because they want ducks to hang around and be available for harvest.

What do you know about the "average gun carrier?"

Absolutely nothing. You're just pulling this out of your ass.
And you are not? I see mug shots of gun owners on Fox News daily. A guy monopolizes the tv at the gym.

I don't see a lot of smart guys in the mug shots. Send us 100 million gun owner mug shots. We will guess the IQ. Or I'll just guess now: 90.
How about just a photo of a gun owner?
Look at my avatar.
What is my IQ?

(To save time, I can generalize: The 100 million gun owners, compared to Ratz, are idiots.)

We are excluding all of Ratz. Libertarian intellectuals will just screw up the numbers. Here we have the profiles, correlation of guns, deaths etc. It is the poor working class that does the shooting:

Hollow point rounds, point blank, don't have enough distance to mushroom--yes or no?

They shroom on impact, so point blank or 100 yards away makes no difference.

Is soft tissue enough impact?

Good question. The slug is traveling fastest right out of the barrel, so there's a better chance that it could get through the object too fast to deform much. The thickness and density of the target/tissue would be factors. :ask:

Given that pistols stop being very precise rather near the shooter, and that hollow point ammo is not very aerodynamic, I'm pretty confident of my assessment, barring refutation from real experts.

Hollow-points are used as sniper rounds in the US military. :whisper:

And they are a common .22 rifle round. When used on rabbits, it needs to be a head shot if you want the fur or carcass in any reasonable condition...

I thought this was about handguns, not about rifle use of such rounds?

I doubt the physics varies that much, really. Anyway, Gallstones didn't specify.
