Another major figure has been questioned by police. Not arrested or charged, just questioned.

His name is now mud on Twitter. He has been judged, found guilty and his name has been executed.

Why do the police have to even mention they've questioned someone?

There's something really, really wrong about all this.

Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

Still not one single case with any proper evidence.

This is turning into a witch hunt. There's some quote from Lord McAlpine about false accusations being touted to insinuate that he is a paedophile really.

There's a great deal of paedophilia denial going on here. I think that is probably in the same category as the holocaust and illegal now. :prof:

Stuart Hall charged with indecent assaults

Broadcaster Stuart Hall has been charged with three counts of indecent assault.

The 82-year-old from Wilmslow in Cheshire has been charged following complaints to police about alleged incidents involving three girls aged between nine and 16.

Lancashire Police said the offences were alleged to have been committed between 1974 and 1984.

Mr Hall has been bailed to appear before Preston Magistrates in January.

He has a broadcasting career spanning five decades and is best known for his distinctive style of sports reporting on BBC Radio 5 live.

Mr Hall became an OBE in the 2012 New Year Honours for services to broadcasting and charity.

Good luck with police asking him "And where were you on the evening of the 9th of October, 1975?"

The child sexual assault / rape case I sat on as a juror was quite enlightening about how the CPS approach these kind of cases. When assaults/rapes occurred decades ago and the only evidence is witness testimony, they'll usually refuse to try the case because the likelihood of an unsafe conviction is very high. The case I was on had corroborating testimony from witnesses who'd not been in contact with each other for 20 years. It was made pretty clear that if there'd been any recent contact between witnesses, or if there was not corroboration outside family/friend groups the case would not have gone ahead.

Well, I guess that's the end of that era. His style of reporting games was utterly unlike anything else in broadcasting.

He could use some good PR right now. ;)
I wonder if he's being questioned about sex offences he's accused of committing, or if his frequent claims of knowing "where the bodies are buried" have piqued the interest of the police.

Yes. It will be interesting to see what comes of it.

Mind you. If the police have nothing substantial, they're going to end up paying a huge amount of money to that guy.

He is a scrote, an anal wart on society, but no-one deserves to be falsely accused.
