Is that from the indoor, crowdedness of a mall, or the shopping?

The shopping. It happens at plenty of outdoor places too.

When I went jeans shopping with my sis several weeks ago, there was an obvious husband/boyfriend waiting area. There was even a big TV with a game on. :awesanta:

Did your mother ever drag you to department stores as a young grammar school age lad, and make you wait endlessly in Bamburgers or Macys?

Most girlfriends I've ever had seemed to want me to participate in the shopping. Going to the waiting area was often fraught with relationship dangers....

"Fine. Go and sit there." --- uh, oh.... :nervous:

I took my hubby shopping a couple times, years ago. He's not too bad to take, but he gives me a hard time about buying anything. "Are you sure you need that? Isn't that kinda expensive?" Crap like that. I'm not an impulse shopper, I'm pretty good about only buying what I went for and I rarely buy stuff for myself. So, when I go to buy jeans for $25 and he questions if I need to spend that much money on them, his ass is staying home next time.
We danced.

When I have to shop, I always shop alone.

I always feel guilty for making people wait or boring them, so I'd rather go wander by myself on those very rare occasions when I feel like doing it.

LOL -- I never say shit like that to She. Mainly, it's because she doesn't overspend, and is more of a bargain hunter. She'll come back from the mall with 10 things and she's only spent like $100.

But, I don't know what it is exactly, but it's different for us guys. My She often comments that I never buy stuff for myself. If we go to the mall, she's always interested in getting me to pick something out. It seems to cross her circuits for me to say, "nah, I really have enough dress shirts, ties and shoes for now..." and such. For casual clothes, I have new jeans in the closet, but when I get dressed I pick up the ones I already have. She gets peeved at me when I buy jeans because they're the same ones. I go to the store, find the brand and kind that I know fit. I buy one or two without trying them on, and I leave. All my jeans look about the same. I think that bothers her.

We have plenty of stuff. I think most of the stuff she buys is not stuff we "need," but I don't really say anything because she's definitely not a spendthrift.

I usually go with my sis, and it's more like a social thing. We talk throughout the whole thing, usually shopping way longer then either of us planned! I went with my BFF the other night and we shopped together for a bit, then went our own ways for a bit. Depends on who I'm with.
