Thanks, Drewish, but not to worry, I've been twitting Netwits for more than two decades now and I've been insulted by the best and come out without a mark. I find it entertaining to demonstrate how little reasoning ability they actually have, and how easily they jump into ad hom invective when their propaganda and other pseudo-intellectual idiocy is deconstructed right in front of them.

Drives 'em crazy, which is why they always and predictably evade the debate and make it personal. When they take it personal, I know I've struck a fatal blow to their dogma.

It's not always his opinions that he's expressing. Sometimes he posts and defends outrageous bollocks for the fun of watching the predictable outrage.
Yup. I'm always interested in seeing if there is a person of wit and intelligence out there who can actually formulate a rational, reasoned rebuttal to my outrageous statements. There are very, very few such people out there.
To make him out like he's a victim or to compare what goes on here to actual bullying is rather unfair to real bullying victims I think.
Whether one is harmed or victimized by bullying is irrelevant to whether someone else is a bully. I enjoy revealing bullies for what they are. They are the ones who disparage themselves in doing so. I remain perfectly calm and unruffled by their childish behavior.
In a lot of cases, he gets the reaction he's after for the sake of looking superior to the people he's angered and that's a bit different from someone who speaks what they believe in spite of the negative reaction they might get.
Sometimes yes, but the "sake of looking superior" is all part of the act. Narcissistic personalities like those who berate me hate it the most when someone else claims intellectual superiority over them, and they simply cannot resist trying to make themselves look better by bullying their intellectual betters. They do this because they simply don't have the wit or intelligence to actually argue the issue, but they feel compelled to say something, so they turn to ad hom, inevitably.

It's really quite fun and interesting to watch how easily they can be manipulated.
I'm not excusing anyone else's bad behaviour in reaction to him. But if you judge a person by the nature of the attacks against them, you might as well join A+ and become a disciple of Rebecca Watson.[/quote]

Except you're wrong...again.
The reason I know this is that when you target some of the crazy things he says and start logically taking them to pieces he gets VERY upset and emotional. He absolutely believes this shit. And saying that he doesn't is just a lazy way of avoiding dealing with his crazy shit.
You lie. I get upset when idiots on the Internet decide to attack me personally rather than sticking to the debate. I pretend to be upset sometimes in order to troll Netwits, but I have no emotion invested in an abstract argument with nitwits who are clearly my intellectual inferiors. I just enjoy toying with them and watching them dance as I pull their strings.

You're one of the best puppets I know in that regard.
Lol. This little meme of yours is just a convenient tool to distract from situations where you get owned by someone. When that happens, you can trot out the "I don't really believe this stuff, I was just trolling you" to explain why you couldn't back up what you said.

Anyway, I don't really care that much. I ignore the vast majority of tripe you output these days.

But why would anyone be interested in arguing the stupid with you, Seth? It's much more fun watching your little hissy fits and projections, and you pretending that the ideas you express aren't your real ideas so you have a fall back get out of jail free card. And you still don't understand ad hominen, or marxism, socialism, the fallacy of the slippery slope.....................although you are pretty good at googling and mining Wiki.

Interesting psychological question, that. I really don't know. All I know is that they do, and that they are childishly easy to provoke into bloviating the most ridiculous things. Low entertainment it's true, but an amusing diversion nonetheless. Then again, once in a rare while I'll find a pearl among the swine, and that's worth the wait.
It's much more fun watching your little hissy fits and projections, and you pretending that the ideas you express aren't your real ideas so you have a fall back get out of jail free card.
Of course. I'm an enigma wrapped in a mystery. Nobody here (or anywhere on the Net) knows who I am or what I really believe because I've set it up that way very deliberately. It's all about the debate and the journey towards enlightenment, not the destination.

And you still don't understand ad hominen, or marxism, socialism, the fallacy of the slippery slope.....................although you are pretty good at googling and mining Wiki.
Prove it. I say I know exactly what ad homineM, Marxism, Socialism and the Slippery Slope fallacy are and use reference to them appropriately.

No you don't. You read everything I write and salivate for more. Proof of that is in the amount of ad hom you spew and the lack of reasoned argumentation we see from you.

In regard to libertarianism and associated political, social and philosophical views, yes. He is also very consistent and logical when he advocates his point of view.

Unfortunately, much like the Antikythera mechanism, internal consistency and logic does not count for much when it starts off with the wrong assumptions. The Antikythera mechanism was built about 85 BC, and very accurate in describing and predicting planetary positions, even though it was based on the theory of geocentricism. Similar devices with the same or better accuracy and the same central and wrong assumption did not appear until about 1500 years later.

Notably, the number of people defending geocentricism who actually changed their mind is negligible. They simply died out and were supplanted. Hoping that Seth will one day see the error of his belief is akin to expecting a 15th century Pope to realise that neither The Bible nor Aristotle constitute The Truth™ concerning all there is that can be known, let alone that knowledge is at best provisional.
I am, somehow, less interested in the weight and convolutions of Einstein’s brain than in the near certainty that people of equal talent have lived and died in cotton fields and sweatshops. - Stephen J. Gould

Everythihng Seth believes in come from mystical magical natural rights, without them absolutely nothing he says has any logical basis.

Which means of course nothing he says has any logical basis whatsoever
