This has the makings of a John Water's movie.

That is the result of taking photos in a poorly lit room with an iPhone that didn't have a flash. Camera+ can only do so much.
My advice would be not to keep your rifle on the floor in a badly lit room. You will trip over it and hurt yourself. You might trying using light bulbs of a higher wattage then you will be able to avoid stepping on the rifle and see how grubby the carpet really is.

It's not even my carpet...
'Religion has actually convinced people that there's an invisible man -- living in the sky -- who watches everything you do, every minute of every day. And the invisible man has a special list of ten things he does not want you to do.. And if you do any of these ten things, he has a special place, full of fire and smoke and burning and torture and anguish, where he will send you to live and suffer and burn and choke and scream and cry forever and ever 'til the end of time! ..But He loves you.' - George Carlin

Seth is a self-proclaimed troll. He gets no benefit of the doubt. I have full confidence in the staff here. And, I missed the personal insults he posted. I did see a few slight ones aimed at groups of people, but I'm pretty sure it has to be a direct personal insult to count as an ad hom here.
Of course you did.
Are you fucking Blind groper, is that why you support his failed argument?

Yeah, the pretty blonde agrees with a man and not you so she must be fucking him.

The what?
Your need to flatter yourself in a post when it has zero to do with the topic leads me to believe you have a narcissistic personality.

What! Are you in the habit of storing your rifle on someone elses carpet? That's pretty damn un Amrican. Oh wait, no it isn't. Carry on.

The sentiment Gallstones posted is not terribly smart. The UN treaty has nothing to do with guns inside the USA. It is a method of controlling international trade in weapons to stop them getting into the hands of terrorists and criminals.
For every human action, there is a rationalisation and a reason. Only sometimes do they coincide.

Gallstones this post http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 5#p1322785 goes against our play nice rule http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3449 this is a reminder to please follow the rules.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Quantity has a quality all its own, and all you need is center mass.
"Seth is Grandmaster Zen Troll who trains his victims to troll themselves every time they think of him" Robert_S
"All that is required for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing." Edmund Burke
"Those who support denying anyone the right to keep and bear arms for personal defense are fully complicit in every crime that might have been prevented had the victim been effectively armed." Seth
