I think this hostility to the United Nations by less enlightened Americans is very sad. The UN is, of course, an imperfect mechanism, but it still has the potential to do a great deal of good in the world. It has no military power, of course, and its members act so as to keep things that way. As a result, when the United States acts to sabotage its good works, it cannot act effectively. Very sad.

Seth is a self-proclaimed troll. He gets no benefit of the doubt. I have full confidence in the staff here. And, I missed the personal insults he posted. I did see a few slight ones aimed at groups of people, but I'm pretty sure it has to be a direct personal insult to count as an ad hom here.

Semi-automatic "assault weapons," large-capacity magazines (Surefire has both a 60 and 100 round mag), and ammunition are absolutely the best investment anyone can make right now, and I mean RIGHT NOW. Even if you don't need them to fight your way out of the dependent class rabble to safety and freedom, when Obama gets going on gun control, with Pelosi's help, whatever you have will be worth at least as much as gold in trade for other goods.

I bought two more last week, and I'm ordering multiple AR style receivers right now so I can assemble more rifles myself.

I'm also signing up for the Remington AR armorer's course.
