And you're debating this with a guy called "Rum"? Fuckwittedness incarnate from the Little Englanders.

Jesus, this is fucking tiresome.

Any chance we can have a moratorium on the whole Scottish independence issue for a while?

This idea that there should be no Nationalism has got to be one of the most childish and fanciful notions I have ever read coming out of the heads of thinking adults. To see it actually happen and become real would be the building of Hell.

Life itself knows better---variety is the spice of life AND it creates the scaffolding and, when practiced, the opportunity for novelty and different ways of thinking, different mindsets, different inspirations and motivations, different interactions. I am willing to bet money that the potential possibilities and opportunities coming from differences are exponentially greater than those of sameness.

Those who want all to be one, are you assuming it will be your idea of the one?
What if it is my version of one? Do you want to live in my version of one?

There is absolutely no chance of that happening.
I have it on good authority that an independent Scotland will be just like Swansea.

Don't let them lie to you, there is a Swansea !!

In your dreams.

I have it on good authority that it will be my way--no highway either.
Think about that.

Right, so the fifty US states are the same throughout then? Nashville sounds the same as New Orleans?
Chicago blues is just exactly the same as Bluegrass?

I just love that Alaskan Hula, the tradition goes back years.
Yep, fifty identical states, just one big mush.

Oh yeh, mush. That's what the apaches shout at their sled dogs ennit?
