Maybe Neanderthal looked nothing like modern humans?
Interesting theory that Neanderthal looked ape-like like all the other hominids except homo-sapiens. Soft tissue reconstructions are just false assumptions that they looked like us, even though we have no real physical evidence that they did.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
I'll be your Tarzan, you'll be my Jane,
I'll keep you warm and you'll keep me sane,
And we'll sit in the trees and eat bananas all day,
Just like an apeman.
Except that facial reconstruction doesn't start with assumptions. That a major NoNo. Sorry, silly theory is silly. I do like the black Neanderthals, however, it fits you.

Black Neanderthals? No no no.. everyone knows that homosapiens descended from a line of great white apes some of which decided to stay in the sun and got burnt. These burnt cells injected the melanin gene into their perfect germline DNA making them faster, stronger, and better athletes, but inferior mentally and socially from their white brothers and sisters.

Watch the 15 minute video, all soft tissue reconstructions are merely assumptions with a homo-sapien bias.

Don't forget that it also retarded their swimming capabilities.

This? Again? I saw it shared about 2 or 3 years ago... and mocked it back then. It's a nonsense. It's "hey, guys, what if..." instead of actual science. As a non-scientist I saw flaws in it back then, so I'd hate to see what someone would do to it - if they actually had some scientific knowledge about the Neanderthals.
They were a very close relation to us, with common ancestors a short period of time (in evolutionary terms) previously. We bred with them; that's how similar they were to us. This... all a load of hooky nonsense that might be entertaining as a movie franchise.
But for the love of all that is holy, don't treat it as real.

And ice hockey skills. And ability to care about SPF ratings.
