Same here, Twofy, but I gotta admit, it would be hard to imagine all those projections being wrong by such a wide margin.

NPR and BBC both say Ohio called Obama.. BBC says Colorado is undecided, NPR says Obama.

Well, IF Obama does win, I say tomorrow we roll the tanks into the red states and force them to secede from the union.
Re: Election Day, USA!
I just switched to Fox News, I guess for the shcadenfreude, and they're talking about how the remainder of the Ohio votes are expected from heavily blue areas. Same for VA and FL, last I heard. And Colorado looks like it'll be a solid Obama win at this point. Yep, this should pretty much be in the bag.
Re: Election Day, USA!
Cheers in the Romney-Ryan camp as they're 0.2% ahead in the popular vote!

Re: Election Day, USA!
I would love to see Republicans get next to the idea of abolishing the electoral college. Or going with the hybrid solution recently proposed by somebody in Congress: give the winner of the popular vote 29 (give or take) "at large" electoral votes not tied to any one state.PordFrefect wrote:Cheers in the Romney-Ryan camp as they're 0.2% ahead in the popular vote!![]()
Imagine candidates actually campaigning in California, Texas, New York and thirty-odd other states, asking for and getting out their votes.

Re: Election Day, USA!
Colorado is in for Obama, and Nevada's going to be as well. That'll do it, even without Ohio, Virginia and Florida.

Virginia just declared for Obama. Can we say he won now without reserve?

Looks like marijuana will be legal in three states. And same-sex marriage will be passed by voters in Maryland - the first time this has happened in 33 attempts around different states.
It's going to be difficult for Republicans to talk about the 2012 election as anything but a painful buttrape.
Here's something that sucks: this has been a profoundly negative campaign on both sides. Romney and the Republicans were negative from the start trying to make it a referendum on Obama and attacking him on everything under the sun (including a lot of made up nonsense), and Obama spent the spring and summer defining Romney in a negative light. Whichever side won, this election might prove to people (again) that smashmouth electioneering works.

Nothing looks more petty than failing to concede gracefully - Romney has face planted.

Or just have the blue states stop subsidizing them with our tax dollars. Same effect without a shot being fired.rasetsu wrote:Well, IF Obama does win, I say tomorrow we roll the tanks into the red states and force them to secede from the union.
