Um, he's the PRESIDENT. Maybe it's been up in that space for three years.
Dude -- you must be joking.
Images like that are never allowed in polling places. It doesn't matter if he's the president. It's electioneering and it's against the law.
Your defense of this kind of thing is emblematic of your inability to view these things objectively. If this was a 2004, and it was a big mural of Bush, you, and MSNBC, would have a flippin' cow.
I don't trust either of those videos. When I voted today I had to click the "next" button to move on to the next page of questions, and it let me read a summary of everything I had picked. Unless it changed my vote to Romney while still displaying Obama, it couldn't have cast an incorrect ballot that way.
Also - I showed up and presented all the ID I or anyone else needed: having already registered to vote, I gave my information (name, DOB, address) to a poll worker who checked me off my district's list.

It's not the point. The point is that you have to ban electioneering in the polling place or all candidates will suggest that they ought to be entitled to do the same thing.

If that space in normally a junior high school cafeteria, then they're welcome to have it up until election day. Yes, it ought to be covered for the 12hrs or whatever that it becomes a polling place. But big whup - is walking in and seeing a painting of Obama going to change anybody's vote?
No, I would in fact NOT have a flippin' cow. Drink one shot for pontificating about what you're sure liberals would do/say in a hypothetical situation, as per my rules.

Dippy dude. Is that a permanent polling place? When was the mural done? Did the whingers actually need to file suit or was that just a stunt. And will you be blaming Obama for it being there in the first place or will you grow the fuck up?

I haven't "blamed obama." But, it's electioneering whether it was painted beforehand or not. You can't paint a big mural of the Republican logo on a polling place and have a smiling face of their candidate on the wall in the summertime and then leave it there when it is used as a polling place. You either can't use that polling place or you have to cover it up.
That's the point. They had to file suit because they couldn't get it covered up otherwise. I mean, ffs. You're long past ridiculous. You've become a caricature of yourself.
Cue - ho-hum reaction from Zilla and Ian. But, let's imagine the reaction if this was a Romney poster. No prob! Just leave it there, eh?
You folks minimize this shit, along with Republicans being thrown bodily out of polling places in Philly, but you have the nerve to piss and moan about Republican poll workers asking people for ID? Joke.
