Yeah, they're pure randomness. Nobody hurt here, but the neighbor's front door got knocked in.orpheus wrote:That's the weird thing about tornadoes. The damage can be so specific. One point will be pulverized; a few feet away will be basically untouched.
Hope you all came through ok!

Funny, we were just talking about how it seems tornadoes never get blamed on homosexuals and loose women-- probably because they strike the buckle of the Bible Belt.

We get more lightening strikes than anybody down here. God generally misses, though.

Well, because some liberal would snap a picture right when the rally started, before anyone's donations hit the table and it would be plastered all over the place, especially MSDNC, under the headline "nobody donates at Romney rally."Wumbologist wrote:http://www.theatlanticwire.com/politics ... ent/58529/
Mitt Romney was really concerned that his "Storm Relief Event" in Kettering, Ohio yesterday would look like a dud, so he and his team stocked their donation tables with $5,000 worth of supplies at Walmart. The props, according to Buzzfeed's McKay Coppins, were things like granola bars, canned food, and diapers which were strategically placed to make sure that the photographs taken at Romney's "Storm Relief" campaign didn't a show very un-busy, un-stocked relief table

Re: Duck and cover = Perfect Storm a comin'
He wasn't collecting in Ohio for Ohioans. The collection was for New Yorkers and New Jersians. It would be idiotic to have a fund/supply raiser in New Jersey, when they're out of power, swamped by water, and since those are the people that need the help.... and it wasn't just supplies -- Romney collected whatever people could give, including money or items. The Red Cross doesn't like to collect stuff, but they're not the only game in town and are apparently not a perfect bellwether: http://politicker.com/2012/11/staten-is ... red-cross/Gawdzilla Sama wrote:
But, we all know that one dick or another would have a cartoon at the ready if Romney did not have a fund raiser, claiming that Romney didn't care enough to help out.
Re: Duck and cover = Perfect Storm a comin'
Yes, which is the reason why he did. And it's the reason his campaign made sure that plenty was donated for the cameras.

Who cares as long as it was donated? I don't think Chris Christie would give a damn where it came from at the moment.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Meh, doesn't bother me, I don't actually care who wins. The only difference I can see between Obama and Romney is Romney has a darker tan.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.
