I thought you were referring to someone named Just. Just hears from Exi, who lives in Queens. I bet he does hear from him quite often. What's the problem?

That's just a jumper. Arc-overs are explosive.

Sounds like everyone here came out the other side OK and without much to report in the way of property damage?

Seems to me like if the storm was God's doing, he's shit at targeting the heathens. :hehe:

I brought my camera with me this morning, figuring I'd take some pictures of the storm damage. Only there wasn't any. No tree branches down. Not even a twig :?
People think "queue" is just "q" followed by 4 silent letters.

But those letters are not silent.

They're just waiting their turn.

Lots of trees and power lines went down around the North Shore... but the utility crews were very, very well prepared. I saw vehicles going back and forth all day yesterday, looked like they were clearing up damage within minutes of it occuring.

This is an interesting mess of a situation:

They will probably secure it with additional cables, then lower the entire crane tower a section at a time.

The Metro is opening here at 2:00 so I'm going over to the National Mall and wander around a bit.

There was a massive crane disaster just blocks from there a few years ago. (you might have heard about it.)

One woman living in the vicinity was being interviewed for the local news. She asked the reasonable question: since we all remember how bad it can be if one of those cranes falls, why didn't they take the crane down when they heard the storm was coming?

Inquiring minds really would like to know.

spins blindly in the dark
so close to annihilation.

I heard on CNN that the penthouse there sold for $90,000,000.00.
