No it isn't even remotely clear. Adding text is not doctoring an image. Which I showed by adding text outside of the bounds of the actual image... as if adding text to an un-doctored image somehow makes it "doctored". Whether the text appears in the JPG or in the HTML, calling it "doctored" is just stupid.

But hey ho... there's been no shortage of that in this thread.

You've altered a photo that someone posted of themselves, so as to make a direct personal attack on that person. Is that clear enough for you?

I once took a photo of Rachel that she had posted, enlarged her breasts and made it my avatar.. she objected and I apologized and deleted it. People do stupid shit sometimes.

You are just not getting it, are you? Which part of basic internet forum etiquette allows you to attack personally someone else like this? It doesn't matter how how dress it up, what sleight of hand, what turn of phrase, or juxtaposition of content you contrive to excuse it. It's all wrong.

As you've just ably demonstrated, you don't necessarily need to change anything to cross the line.

Red Celt - This is a warning concerning this and several posts later in this thread which contravene the personal attack rule of the forum which can be found here: http://rationalia.com/forum/viewtopic.p ... 9#personal.

The mods are also concerned that you have used a personal image without that person's permission as a means of making a further personal attack. There has been a request to remove the image which we feel we are should accommodate. If you do not delete the pictures yourself within the next thirty minutes one of the mods will do so.

No. What you're not getting is that you falsely accused me of "doctoring" an image by adding text. Rather than letting your ego take a little hit of admitting that you were wrong to accuse me of that, you're now going on about netiquette. Regardless, you were wrong. You know it and I know it.

I'm now virtual-stroking your ego for you... :console:

Calling a bigot a bigot is never wrong. What is "wrong" is siding with the bigot, just because he has 17931 posts to my 573.

Santa_Claus. Stop doctoring images (by adding text near the image, because apparently that's "doctoring", now). And especially don't do it to someone who's met up with a moderator in real life... because, shit man... he might be all biased, and stuff.
