Ich kann Deutsch sprechen, danke.

and if the dispute between France and england is resolved, the family feud is not, as lands and riches of which some might have descended to me were stolen from my ancestors when they were made to relocate to the Continent.

I have great difficulties with that, after having them actively try to kill two of my ancestors, losing some relatives at Culloden Moor, and being born to boot in a country that still suffers under their boot.
That may be all true, but the English RUSSIANS kept Hitler from eating your ancestors, and we listened to Billy fuckin Connolly, and laughed politely.
Surely that counts for something?

Mind you, you did give us Absolutely, and Still Game, so I can forgive the Billy Connolly bit.
:fix: that for you...

Nah nah nah nah naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh

While those brave Eton boys were stinging the Lufwaffe in their spitfires, and the Royal Navy were defending Scotland's shores from invasion, the Russians had a non agression pact with Hilter, if I remember rightly. And He only attacked Russia coz he was fed up coz our lot kept him out.

Scotland was what he was really after. He needed to corner the world's supplies of deep fried Mars bars, or his war machine would completely run out.
Which is exactly what happened.

Ha, a likely story.
Sounds like an inheritance tax avoidance scam to me.

Don't forget Deep Fried Haggis!

(One of the world's hidden delicacies - and I really mean this. Also - the delectable Fish Supper with Salt'n'Sauce. Unbeatable after a feed of pints).

I don't have any Scots ancestry that I'm aware of, but apparently there's Irish and Welsh somewhere about three generations back, and my surname has Norse origins. So I'm sure somewhere along the line, someone owes me something, dammit. Give me my inheritance!! :lay:

Despite what Svartalf says - you're welcome to Ireland.

We've put all that stuff about Clontarf behind us, and we now are positively delighted about the Viking part of our history. :)

That idiot was praying when his head was cloven in two by Brodir.

That is what he gets for choosing to be a Christian.

Of course, it should be noted that Brian also used Viking mercenaries - same as his (Irish) opponent on the field that day.

It was not "Vikings against Irish", it was Irish V Irish, with both sides using mercenaries, or as they're now called "civilian contractors".

Was that meant to be purely comedic, or do you believe any of it to be true?
