Maybe if he wasn't such a weasel, I wouldn't be so strongly-worded (though on the subject of Libya, I doubt it. Romney is a despicable scumbag on that subject as well.) But I'm having a hard time refraining from the ad-homs when it comes to Ryan. Romney did himself few favors by picking that guy for Veep, at least by me. How would you feel about Dennis Kucinich or Bernie Sanders on Obama's ticket?

I'll give him this much: while Biden won the debate on facts, Ryan held his own in terms of attitude, which is to say that at no point did he start crying.

This was a much more substantive debate than they last one. I agreed with Biden more on every item other than the Medicare question, though that was because I already agreed with him, not because he convinced me. Biden was a complete dick and the moderator was bias as fuck in favor of Biden. Both sides will call this a 'win' for their team.

That is what a lot of Democrat arguments boil down to -- they hate so-and-so and therefore so-and-so is a liar., even if what he actually says is the truth. I like so-and-so other guy, and therefore even when he lies I know what he really means so it's o.k.

Nonsense. It is despicable to come up with a bogus reason for the pre-planned, concerted attack on the US Embassy resulting in the kidnap and murder of our Ambassador and try to convince the voting public and the world that it had something to do with some retarded video. That's despicable. Then to lie about and blame it on the intelligence community who supposedly told them that the video was to blame. That is despicable.

And, to laugh and giggle away the danger of Iranian nuclear weapons, and falsely claim that Iran is "isolated" and isn't even close to getting a nuclear weapon when all the published reports are clear that Iran is making one and it's not going to be too long. That's despicable.

That isn't in accord with most analysis of the debate. Biden won on presentation, being "tough" talking over Ryan, interrupting him and speaking declaratively and confidently.

Biden: “We weren’t told they wanted more security there. We did not know they wanted more security.” Biden was directly contradicted by State Department officials just this week, in testimony before a congressional panel and in unclassified cables released by a congressional committee. In other words, they WERE told. Biden is wrong. He either doesn't know, or is lying. So, how does he win on that "Fact?"

Biden: “The congressman here cut embassy security in his budget by $300 million below what we asked for.” Ryan, as head of the House Budget Committee, set broad targets for spending in his budget blueprint that would have cut nondefense discretionary spending by 19 percent in 2014. There were no specific cuts in embassy security, but Democrats have extrapolated the number, across the board, to come up with this statistic. But it is not a real number with true budget impact. So, Biden was wrong about that too -- how does he win on that "fact?"

Biden: “Prior to the election, prior to him being sworn in, Governor Romney was asked the question about how he would proceed. He said, ‘I wouldn’t move heaven and earth to get bin Laden.’” Romney made this statement in a 2007 interview with the Associated Press: “It’s not worth moving heaven and earth and spending billions of dollars just trying to catch one person.” But Biden has ignored the rest of the interview, in which the AP quoted Romney as saying “he supports a broader strategy to defeat the Islamic jihad movement.” And, Romney said, “We’ll move everything to get him. But I don’t want to buy into the Democratic pitch that this is all about one person — Osama bin Laden — because after we get him, there’s going to be another and another. This is about Shia and Sunni. This is about Hezbollah and Hamas and al-Qaida and the Muslim Brotherhood. This is a worldwide jihadist effort to try and cause the collapse of all moderate Islamic governments and replace them with a caliphate.” Once again -- Biden is wrong on the facts.

Biden -- “What we did is, we saved $716 billion and put it back, applied it to Medicare." Of course, he is just wrong. In fact, the "anticipated" savings from Medicare are going to be used to help offset some of the anticipated costs of Obamacare, which is just as Ryan said. Another "fact" that Biden wins on? Yeah right.
