Listening to an Atheist Experience podcast I finally wrote down some of the passages that deal with this issue...pretty clear to me that Christians can't be capitalists, and are supposed to be communists, yet inexplicably the right wing Christians are hyper capitalism, and love Ayn Rand or whatever her name was...for some reason.

Some pretty explicit passages include:
Matthew 19:23-24, Mark 10:24-25, Luke 18: 24-25

And:
Acts 2:44-45, 4: 32-37, 5: 1-11

and possibly:
Leviticus 25:35-37.

God allowed the second temple to be destroyed because it was no longer needed. Sacrifice was no longer needed because Jesus was the final atoning sacrifice for all sin. The only thing needed was faith in Him. The shedding of His perfect blood was all that was needed for the remission of all sin.
