I must confess, I still get excited whenever someone whips out The Final Countdown. It just never gets old.

Simply because it sounds like the music demented aliens might make in a bad 80's movie.
No memories or value or anything, I just love this song for no reason whatsoever.
The music equivalent of an utterly awesome intravenous injection of gay di-morphine. The electric piano makes it.

( Actually, I think this one's explicable, but many disagree.)

Michael Jackson stuff... Thriller, Billy Jean, and a couple others, that don't irritate me the way those overplayed soup songs usually do.

Re: popular songs you inexplably like anyway
I wasn't ever a huge fan of his (well, except for Jackson 5 stuff), but I'm amazed at how often people seem to forget how crazy talented the man was. Those songs don't annoy, because he knew how to make a good pop/rb song. Even if I'm not into them, I see they're well-crafted.Svartalf wrote:Michael Jackson stuff... Maybe he was, but I generally did not like what he did, matter of taste... but I still feel like dancing when I hear Beat it.
