What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

Such as?
Better security personnel - http://www.wartimecontracting.gov/index ... ad-choices - Obama Admin warned in October, 2009. The Inspector General's office issued reports in March and September 2010 calling into question the security at US consulates abroad, like unsafe guard housing and poor explosive detection.

Reacted with a tepid response to what amounts to a grievous act of war. Our Ambassador, the voice of the President of the United States in that country, was brutally murdered. Obama's response is more empty, milquetoast rhetoric.
Ah, so anything short of an invasion is "milquetoast"? If it's an act of war, we have to go to war, right? So who do we invade?
Not what I said at all.
Gerald McGrew wrote:
Obama says there is absolutely no justification for the incident and the perpetrators will be brought to justice. A Marine anti-terrorism unit already been dispatched.

Ah, but what the fuck. Let's invade another Muslim country!!
I didn't say invade anybody.

Libya already was invaded 18 months ago. Which one were you thinking of? Yemen? Pakistan?

Specifically, the language in question ("lowest-price, technically acceptable") has been in place since 1990 and the recommendation to change it was specifically in regard to facilities "in war zones". At the time of this attack, Libya was not a war zone. However, I agree that this language issue needs to be addressed.

Um...you said the attack was "an act of war" and you were not happy with Obama's statement that there was no justification for it and the perpetrators will be brought to justice.

What else does a POTUS do in the face of an act of war against the US?

I've got a better idea. Immediately stop the 30 Billion + annual military aid to Egypt. Immediately stop all aid of any sort to Libya. Do the same to everybody else on the fucking planet. Pull all overseas troops home, shut down all overseas military bases, repudiate any and all mutual defense treaties. Place the 11 carrier groups around the U.S. and it's territories. Build a few thousand 100 megaton weapons and aim them at everybody outside our borders. Spend all that money taking care of our own shit and change the national motto to "KMAG YOYO" (Kiss my ass goodbye, you're on your own).
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Lak to a certain extent I was following you but you're insane.

You'd just live in an isolated paranoid nation that would attack other nations if they hung up on you or didn't call.

Just in time for an October Surprise. So I predict congratulations will go to Romney.

Seems to have been a total put up job. They can't even track down the people responsible for the 'movie'.

I blame the Republicans. :smoke:
