I was having difficulty reading, so I blew off my book club today. (Though the book was quite entertaining, Spook by Mary Roach.)

So tonight became a TV night, one episode each of the following (in order):

NCIS: Los Angeles (Nell!)
Person Of Interest
Winter Sonata (Ji-woo Hime!)
Charmed (Piper!)
NCIS (DiNozzo!)

It was splendid.

Damn is this ever good. PBS AND Ken Burns rock....

THE WAR | PBS

Editing, sound and visuals all superb and unlike Band of Brothers which is also superb - this is only original footage and photos and interviews with those who lived it.
Take the time....it's very very good.

Just remembered this little gem and was surprised to see it's still available...currently acquiring. :)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bad_Boy_Bubby
Bubby is a 35-year-old man who has never set foot outside his mother's dingy apartment in the back of a printing press in an industrial area of Adelaide. In addition to beating and sexually abusing him, she confines him to the apartment, telling him that the air outside is poisonous and warning him that he will die if he tries to leave. Bubby eventually escapes, joins up with a rock band, and embarks on a journey of self-discovery and shocking mayhem.

Hmmm, a newsroom. Were there exciting desks and water coolers?

No water coolers as it's set in the 2010s. Water coolers were a relic of the 80s and early 90s. The more you know.
