The Times Forum is a prime example why we shouldn't let sports franchises and such to dip into the public coffers to finance their affairs. They manipulated the political system to get benefits, like, tax backed bond financing, and exemption from property taxes. It's an example of cronyism at its finest, and it's something to be eliminated, not lauded.

The interesting thing about 5 and 6, and the "raising taxes 11 times" is that "He" did not do those things. During his tenure, Reagan had to work with a Democratically controlled Congress. Congress raises taxes, not the executive branch.

The issue on the tax loopholes is interesting too, because what Romney and Ryan are suggesting is exactly what this funny meme says was so good about Reagan -- remove the loopholes and lower (or at least don't raise) the marginal tax rates. The Democrats want to raise tax rates and keep the loopholes.
