Fucking enabliseristas!!!
Which would would be interpreted as enthusiastic support, causing them to go a little further here and a little further there...
What I've found with a few discussions I've had lately is this self-satisfaction that people express with their proffessed open mindedness. In realty it ammounts to wilful ignorance and intellectual cowardice as they are choosing to not form any sort of opinion on a particular topic. Basically "I don't know and I'm not going to look at any evidence because I'm quite happy on this fence."

I am sure that the Atheism Plus movement will be all over Al Franken: http://www.weeklystandard.com/blogs/sen ... 50609.html

We all know how intellectually honest they are. Let's see how many apologies they ask for, and how much denunciation of Mr. Franken takes place...

Well, they must have this New Statesman dick on their payroll http://www.newstatesman.com/blogs/relig ... w-atheists

They are posturing themselves as an "answer" to the Richard Dawkins "New Atheism" movement. It's a week old "movement" (that hasn't yet figured out what it's all about yet), but this article bills them as having "energy that makes them hard to ignore." What bunch of arrogant fucks...

LOL -- I wonder if they're still going to use the red A which is trademarked by the Dawkins Foundation?

Featured in the article is this image of Dawkins...

See how unhappy he is about the new competition?

These FtB douches are fucking scummy.

Why go after Dawkins?

Hint: http://www.playboy.com/playground/view/ ... rd-dawkins

And, the perennially offended, everyone is a misogynist, crowd is not amused....

Would Atheism Plus biologists say she evolved to make men want to sexually select her? Or, is that not correct?

They certainly seem interested in making themselves the 'popular front' of 'freethinking', but it seems to me that it's more of an exercise in aggressive marketing and brand growth than a 'movement'.

It gets atheism some press at least.

Despite the popular maxim, I suspect that there is such a thing as bad publicity. :?

I wouldn't be surprised if someone else has said this, but it would take too long to check.

So, I'm getting the impression that the FTB crowd are more into the money from hits, than they are the promotion of "free thought".

They seem to dive right in, to anything controversial, and don't seem to care what they say, so long as it gets out, and keeps the pot boiling.
When they discussed the Thunderfoot guy, they were straight into what would happen to the money he was due, for hits on his blog. It shows an attitude of mind, what their priorities are, and what is important to them.

If that's the case, they are doing a good job, because there are probably hundreds of thousands, or even millions, who had never heard of them before, or their blogs, but do now.

They are probably coining it better than they ever did, if they are paid by the number of hits.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.
