How great that she won the first gold in gymnastics for African-American women. Not only that, she did it during the same term that we voted in our first African-American President. Yay America!

Personally, I am getting fed up with seeing supreme athletes, that have put in months of training and pushed their bodies to the limit of their endurance offer up thanks to teh sky fairy when they fukcing win something! If he gets to pick the winner, why not simply pray insterad of doing all that working out shit? And why aren't the losers, who presumably pray just as hard, shaking their fists at the empty sky when they lose?

She was awesome to watch. I mean all the women were awesome to watch, the Romainians and Russians gave the U.S. great competition!

A full women's gymnastics team probably weighs less combined than some super-heavy wrestlers/judo competitors. 
Women's gymnastics seems to be heavily biased towards balance and extreme acrobatics, whereas the men's is biased towards upper body strength. I wonder what it would be like if they both had to perform on all the same apparatus?
