So how do you feel about Barb Wire?

All movies can be remade. However they take a bit of tweaking which usually means adding black side kick who says such enlightening things like "sheeeeeeeeeeeit" and "awwwww hell naw" and to add female brainiac who becomes a one woman army ninja sex bomb when she takes off her glasses.

I heard the plot of Terminator was loosely based on Casablanca.

I don't think PCness is limiting our film options as much as you suspect.
Well, you do make a good point.

The only difference I can see is that Paul Finch is 18 and it's the end of high school.

I will, though, suggest that one movie that definitely can't be remade would be Porky's.

The Kim Catrall scene where she plays a high school cheerleader who fucks the gym teacher in the locker room, screaming so loud everyone in the gym can hear it. And, high school boys invading the privacy of the girls in their shower, watching them bathe. And, then one of them sticks his cock through a hole in the wall and the female gym teacher grabs onto it....lol. Their definitely underage in that movie and banging hookers, etc.

You do realise a Porky's remake is on the cards?

Citizen Kane. This is because there were about a zillion copies of it in the 70s in 16mm form and we that had to watch them on college campuses are not going to let anyone watch it again. Same with 7 Samurai.

I would be amazed if they can get away with 1/2 of what was in the original....

I mean, the locker room scene with Kim Catrall would land that gym teacher in jail for years. The kids peeping at the girls in the showers would get them expelled and possibly jailed. Exposing his penis and putting it through the hole in the shower is a sex offense now requiring him to register (indecent exposure). Fuck, some people have to register on sex offender lists for urinating outside.

I've never seen the original. But I don't doubt what you say is true.

Although.... Howard Stern has been tied in with it :ask:

Brief encounter.

All that 1940s middle class angst and two married people falling illicitly in love in a smoke filled railway station tea room...
