Were there any?
Yes, three or four in that other thread, I think.
Must've blocked that from my memory. ;)

I've never worn flip-flops in my life to my knowledge and I never intend to.

I've worn steel-toed black leather boots from Doc Martins to Combat boots for most of my adult life and I don't intend to change.

And yes, I also wore them to the Kingdom Hall (Church). :P

What you want to get is a nice pair of Teva sandals. They are soooo comfortable, and the thick rubber sole is great for walking on anything. If it weren't for snow, I'd wear nothing else (on my feet that is).

After walking around in them all day don't they make your feel smell like arse. :ani:

The Pope was today knocked down at the start of Christmas mass by a woman who hopped over the barriers. The woman was said to be, "Mentally unstable."

Which is probably why she went unnoticed among a crowd of Christians.

People should be forced to wear socks with them, or with flip flops.
It should be illegal to wear them indoors without socks.
I've got a pair of sandals like those, and my feet never smell. But if you wear thin socks, or no socks, they will stink.

It's hard to come by tabi socks for flip flops.

Besides, socks and sandals are the clothing of the dork.

Abso-fucking-lutely! We can establish a Ministry of FlipFlops, Sandals and Other Non-Closed Footwear! Get special uniforms, and plenipotentiary rights to search and seizure.

Besides, who could argue with this? Sexy much?

BAN FLIP FLOPS???????????? NEVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

They don't even smell, I think they have some antimicrobial agents built into the rubber. You can always wash them with soap and water, or just leave them outside in the rain. I leave my old pair outside 24x7x365 and use them for out door work when there may be dog poop about.
A rational skeptic should be able to discuss and debate anything, no matter how much they may personally disagree with that point of view. Discussing a subject is not agreeing with it, but understanding it.
