So, we're not talking about the actual violence against women issues, or about any sort of respect or lack of respect for women. The first two are technical or procedural issues, and the last one has more to do with immigration.

Exactly. So the Republicans would like to block all those other vital services for these technical and procedural issues they don't agree with, that have squat to do with protecting women.

You missed the bit about how they already voted in the House bill. So, the Democrats are as equally guilty for "blocking" that one.

The law hasn't expired yet. This is how legislation works, Mai. They have differences on a bill, and it goes to a conference committee where the Senate and the House try to reconcile the bill.

But, that doesn't sound as good and "evil salivating woman-hater-ish." Particularly when two of the leading House bill sponsors were women.

It's this kind of bullshit that the Democrats are trying to sell to the voters this election. They cast it as the Republicans are in favor of violence against women or defending the rights of wife beaters.

Nope, but they aren't the woman friendly party, that's for sure. This "kind of bullshit" is what will pave the way for rolling back more women's rights, like abortion.

Yes, if we don't pass everything the most left leaning of Democrats want, it inevitably means that women's rights will go away. It's the same shite I've been hearing since I was 12. More fearmongering. If Republicans aren't out to start a nuclear war, they're out to pollute and they definitely want to make everyone poor, and take away women's right to vote and own property.

The best way to show respect for women is to hold them as equally responsible as men.
