Regarding the Dawkins video in the OP - He has to exist and be financially attractive to publishers within the confines of the business of selling ideas. What he says in that short clip is just good business.

He's a nice guy and large social changes cannot be accomplished by being nice. When Hitchens was around, for all his flaws, new atheism actually stood for something but now it stands for going soft, before long it will be fully agnostic and become a discarded ember of a dying idea that stood on the cusp of saving the modern world from a new dark age....which along with climate change means mans last hope IMO.

Very much agree with the "ONLY". I read it in a hospital bed and it helped. I had two copies stolen before I finished it. (Luckily the book cart lady was a person whose friendship I had cultivated early on.)
