I don't think I'm as interested in volunteering at a public school anymore. I've been checking this story for updates, and I have yet to hear of any parent insisting their child come forward and show remorse for this. It's fucking pitiful.

If my brother or I had done something like that my parents would have never forgiven us and we would have been help responsible and made to pay for our actions.

Based on a sample of 5 yes. I have parented 5. There may be something wrong with the dad of one, same as the kid. So sometimes it is genes, 1 out of 5.

I don't think this is anything new, there were some right feral little cunts at my school. We had two or three teachers have breakdowns, a couple knock the living fuck out of children. I even recall a couple of "parents" who beat up a teacher for having the gall to report and consequently have expelled two boys who tried to sexually assault a female classmate, in class, by holding her, pulling down her pants and trying to insert a ruler into her vagina. The girl was then hounded out the school by the vicious rumour mill.
There was a lot more than that, but I tend to blot out the entirety of my school years since they were so fucking horrible.
Luckily a lot of those fucking rats didn't even make it to adulthood and many of them are in jail.

There were a few teachers we enjoyed abusing at that age. They were the ones who showed weakness. She is obviously in the wrong job if she can't control a few noisy teenagers

I agree, there is some brutal social Darwinism in those Kid prisons. They are not for the faint of heart. The yahoo coverage on the story pointed out that one of the fathers of the bullies did apologize. He said that he was broken-hearted that his son could have done something so hateful.
As for the "nice vacation"-- that was actually started by a filmmaker in Toronto, who started the FB campaign. They've raised a LOT of money for Grannie. I think Grannie should just take it and retire.
