Chavez --- nice guy. True democrat. Very concerned about civil rights, isn't he? If only he could run for President in the US....or, perhaps Prime Minister of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland.

I expect Chavez to win by hook or by crook, but I don't expect him to live long. So if he dies, who will rule?

I reckon Capriles may have a chance. If his health holds up. He looks a bit peaky to me. Wouldn't be surprised if he had an accident.

Oh shit, the US will probably end up invading. Chavez will end up killing his only opposition just to succumb to cancer soon after. And with all that oil........

The US can't invade, of course. Chavez is in with the Roosians. Pays his protection money. You can't touch anyone who is tight with the Roosians.

Hoping Chavez wins by a landslide and regains his health.
Our struggle is not against actual corrupt individuals, but against those in power in general, against their authority, against the global order and the ideological mystification which sustains it.

Capriles may institute some reforms similar to what Brazil has been doing. That would be good for the people.

It would be nice to see a defeat Chavez's brand of socialism.

Fingers crossed that he croaks.

The Pope was today knocked down at the start of Christmas mass by a woman who hopped over the barriers. The woman was said to be, "Mentally unstable."

Which is probably why she went unnoticed among a crowd of Christians.
