Torture by Sesame Street song

Post by kiki5711 » Thu May 31, 2012 12:51 pm

This isn't the first time that music from Sesame Street has been used to break the will of prisoners. In 2003, the U.S. reportedly used the soundtrack to soften up Iraqi POWs.
:nervous: :nervous: No, no, no, pleeeeease not again,....arghhhhhhhhh

"Suuuuuunnnny Day
Sweepin' the clouds away

Can you tell me how to get,
How to get to Sesame Street"

I, for one, would confess to anything under such pressure ..

And that's the first time I've actually seen the lyrics. I'll confess I never figured out the second line. Can't remember what I thought it was - but it wasn't that.
Although it may look like a forum, this site is actually a crowd-sourced science project modelling the slow but inexorable heat death of the universe.

I'd take that over "Benny and the Jets" any day of the week.

When my cousin was in training for the air force they did simulated torture by playing the barney song over and over. Naturally at his wedding myself and another cousin sang it to him.
I'm wild just like a rock, a stone, a tree
And I'm free, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I flow, just like a brook, a stream, the rain
And I fly, just like a bird up in the sky
And I'll surely die, just like a flower plucked
And dragged away and thrown away
And then one day it turns to clay
It blows away, it finds a ray, it finds its way
And there it lays until the rain and sun
Then I breathe, just like the wind the breeze that blows
And I grow, just like a baby breastfeeding
And it's beautiful, that's life

Employers who insist on playing a loop of muzak over the speakers should be locked up for human rights violations too. I always said it was fucking torture
Outside the ordered universe is that amorphous blight of nethermost confusion which blasphemes and bubbles at the center of all infinity—the boundless daemon sultan Azathoth, whose name no lips dare speak aloud, and who gnaws hungrily in inconceivable, unlighted chambers beyond time and space amidst the muffled, maddening beating of vile drums and the thin monotonous whine of accursed flutes.

All young children's TV these days is pure torture. :lay:

In comparison, the Sesame Street theme is almost high art.

Sesame Street is not to be dissed! I have warm childhood memories of Saturday mornings watching that. Apart from Big Bird, he was a little freaky. Barney on the other hand is obviously a paedophile and should be banned from working with children for the rest of his unnatural life. :D
Here's to Now.

I keep waiting for Barney to remember he's a fucking Tyrannosaur and start biting off heads. I'd pay to see that, honestly.
Yeah well that's just, like, your opinion, man.

Caught Mini Huxley 2 jumping up and down on the trampoline singing the theme tune to The Littlest Hobo the other day.

Don't write em like they used to.

Do any of you remember Pee Wee's Play House? I use to wonder why that was on kids channel because it looked very sexually implied. Something you'd watch high on acid or something.
