Baroness Warsi and her financial...err....absentmindedness
You just know that when some politician weighs in on the lack of religion in public affairs, as the good Baroness has, that something will shortly come out to show said politician in a less than salutary light. In this case, there appear to be one or two discrepancies in her expenses.
How predictable.
How predictable.

But she did pay for her stays at the guy's flat! She gave the money to an 'appropriate person'..her assistant...

Yes, I'm not so keen on opening posts concerning breaking news about some personality or scandal in some locality or another, where the poster assumes that everybody knows what he is talking about either. So I googled for a bit, and this is what I found: Baroness Warsi asks Lords Commissioner for Standards to probe her expenses. And here is some background information about the Baroness.Bella Fortuna wrote:Too lazy to find the bunny with a pancake on its head, so just imagine it, please.

Ah, thanks. I knew I'd heard the name before, but wasn't sure where.

Damned parochial Americans! I shall expect full references the next time Mitt Santorum gets arrested for molesting a groundhog or etc,

Problem was the opening post did not even include a fucking name. Baroness is a title. There are hundreds of Baronessessessessess. I started off googling for Baroness Thatcher. Took a while to drill down to find out what the arrogant cunt Huxley was talking about.Bella Fortuna wrote:Ah, thanks. I knew I'd heard the name before, but wasn't sure where.

Baroness Warsi is her name. It's not complicated.

Certainly not complicated. Just two syllables in Warsi. I have known for some time that providing a link to what you are talking about is beyond your capabilities, but never imagined that you were too stupid to type a four letter name behind the title "Baroness".Clinton Huxley wrote:Baroness Warsi is her name. We should have a duel over the issue. Blunderbuss at 5000 paces. In hot-air balloons. That would be a kraut versus pom confrontation worthy of a film. Maybe call it " those Magnificent Men in their Flying Mach...". Wait. No. Copyright problems. Do you have any ideas, Clinton?

A duel? That would be to belittle myself and ennoble you, old chap, a situation neither of us deserves.

Less in-fighting, more muck-raking!
As in many other political expense-related cases (and not just in the UK), there appears to be a yawning chasm between what is legal and what is, well, right.

Like she would not expect that... after all, she should know she's made herself a lot of political friends... if she's not smart enough to be squeaky clean, and paranoid enough to make sure she looks the part, maybe she should marry another relative and move to Pakistan.Rum wrote:But she did pay for her stays at the guy's flat!
