If the moon had the right minerals, they could be mined, concentrated and made to react so as to give off O2. It would escape pretty quickly, but as long as you kept replenishing the chemicals, you could keep a little atmosphere going. It'd be better to just build pressurized greenhouse-like structures and add to them over time, I think.

Sorry, Thump, but the gases won't be "left behind" if they don't escape Earth's gravity.

Some vintage wooden furniture, candles and a big fireplace would probably make a nice atmosphere even on the moon

I'm picturing Adirondack chairs, a low table and a big Persian rug. Several palm trees for shade. Location: Just above the wave line with the beach facing west so we could watch the sun get extinguished in the ocean.

I'm only guessing here, I haven't checked, but I'm pretty sure that the reason that Titan can keep an atmosphere is that it's much more massive than our moon, and is so much farther away from the Sun.

It's the Solar Wind that strips any atmosphere from the Moon.
It's much stronger on the Moon, because it's so much closer to the Sun.

It would also strip the atmosphere from the Earth, but we have a stronger pull of gravity, and a strong magnetic field, which deflects the solar wind away from the Earth.

So the escape velocity for gases is higher on Titan, and the solar wind is much less intense than on our Moon.
While there is a market for shit, there will be assholes to supply it.

Maybe we could move some of our Gravity onto the Moon?

We do. That's why the Moon is still there.
And we have some of the Moon's gravity. That's why the tide goes in and out.

I thought we couldn't explain that?

Eh? Nah, it's simple physics. I think.
