If getting "fed up" with the opinions of other people is sufficient to warrant beating them, then watch out. Some folks might be fed up with you as easily as you would be fed up with them. People get "fed up" about a lot of things.

Actions have consequences, as we have seen, and relieving all that pent up rage and anger on the wrong person can get you killed, and justifiably so, as we have seen. That's a good reason to take tranquilizers, go to the gym and work off the anger, or find a productive way to deal with the stress that doesn't involve trying to hurt other people.kiki5711 wrote:well, Seth, living here in Georgia, I get a lot of looks, snares, and (she's with a black man, she must be white trash). Which is exactly why it's appropriate for law-abiding citizens like me who are not prone to outbreaks of uncontrollable rage and anger to be armed for self defense...because there are people like you out there who might randomly try to kill or hurt us merely because of a perceived slight or disrespect.and if I had a gun, I might even shoot someone and say they attacked me. who knows. maybe I would.

New York City is old hat to me, and I've walked through Newark, Trenton, and Detroit many times, in addition to the Bronx and Brooklyn.kiki5711 wrote:Come on Coito, let's see you be brave and try to walk through South LA, or Bronx NY, Brooklyn, and Black Harlem or Spanish Harlem and see if you can get away with giving someone even a speck of a look. You're scattered again. Where did I claim all these places were "free and safe." Try, just try, to focus. Note the important inclusion of the word "lawful" in my sentence. I make no claim that everyone behaves lawfully. I said that the day we live in a country when there is something lawful about beating someone up because they give you a look, would be a sad sad day. That doesn't mean that people don't break the law and beat people up. Is that something you can wrap your mind around? Did that really blow by you?

So, now it's o.k. to delve into issues of credibility and character?maiforpeace wrote:Zimmerman...such an honest, straightforward kind of guy.

After reading the article, it doesn't seem all that nefarious anyway. He put up a website to raise money for his defense and failed to tell his attorney about it. The guy was in jail, so he wouldn't have had access to his accounts anyway. So, we don't even know when he knew he had how much money in the accounts. It seems at least reasonable to think that he, as a layperson, didn't know the import of disclosure.
I find Martin's prior record of being caught with burglary tools and a bag of women's jewelry a tad bit more telling about his character than a failure to disclose donors to a defense fund.

What a bizarre comment.

I worked in Detroit for years.kiki5711 wrote:New York City is old hat to me, and I've walked through Newark, Trenton, and Detroit many times, in addition to the Bronx and Brooklyn.
Oh really? where exactly did you live in New York City and for how long? where in Trenton and Detroit?
Now the goalposts move again? You first referred to walking through these places. Now I have to live there? I've rarely spoken to someone more scattered than you. Can you focus at all?
I lived in Newark, NJ and outside of Detroit. I've walked in Trenton and Camden many times, and Atlantic City. I've walked in the Bronx and Brooklyn, many times, taken subways all over New York City and across the rivers.
That's bullshit. How can I focus on what you're saying when you do shit like refer to "walking through" a city, and when I point out that I have walked through many of the ones you listed, and more, you then change your "focus" to living in those places. Surely, if you're not typing what you're trying to say, then the fault is yours. Instead of blathering on and spitting words out faster than you can think, why don't you think about what you want to assert, and then write exactly what that is, instead of something else?kiki5711 wrote:

And, this appears to be one of those things that you think has something to do with the case, but is really just your own bullshit. What, pray tell, does it matter if Harlem and the Bronx can be dangerous?

You really don't see that what 99% of inmates claim has nothing to do with the Zimmerman case?kiki5711 wrote:Only to you!Coito ergo sum wrote:kiki5711 wrote:Mai,

Zimmerman pled not guilty, so of course he says he didn't do it. Are you implying that because he say he is not guilty, that is an indication of guilt?
What's bizarre is that you seem to think what you typed has something to do with the matter.
That's not even getting to the fact that you, as usual, just pull your statistics out of your posterior, with no regard for whether what you're saying bears any resemblance to the truth.

Putting that on hold and begging your pardon for a moment, you seem to have problems quoting others' posts. They almost always come out looking misrepresented, as if someone said something that someone else said. I'm not a tekkie, but I'll try to help you with doing the tags, if you'd like. Please don't take this as sarcastic or condescending. I just think it might help us all understand what you're posting.
