That's pretty funny. Rubio is the obvious choice for vice president, though.

Meanwhile, Biden still thinks GM is the biggest company in America - I guess he never left the 1960s.

Claims are false that Obama Admin policies have lead to higher gas prices. As I have been saying. Article specifically addresses Keystone XL pipeline.

Why, is Raul Castro looking? :hehe:

Didn't Obama say, explicitly, that he wanted higher gas prices?

Looks like Ron Paul just won Minnesota :{D
The RNC National Committeewoman for the state of Minnesota reports in this Tweet that Ron Paul takes 20 of 24 Congressional District delegates to the Republican National Convention from Minnesota:
16 more delegates are yet to be awarded, three at large delegates and 13 to be awarded at State Convention, so Ron Paul has half of the delegates for the state of Minnesota, already!
http://wetheconservatives.com/ron-paul- ... minnesota/
Out of the 24, Mittens got 1, Santorum got 2, and one unknown.

16 delegates left to select, but with Paul at 20 he has won.

Looking more and more like Marco Rubio for Veep.

Senator from Florida - which is good for Mitt, because as usual, he probably must win Florida to have a hope of victory.
Cuban heritage - which means he will get the all important Cuban vote in Florida, and may help sway some other Latino voters to the ticket. Although that effect may be minimal.
Fairly young - may be designed to create a youthful, vigorous image to the ticket.
Religion: I guess Romney likes him because he went to the Mormon church for a period of time, although Rubio's parents were Catholic.
Wife: A former Miami Dolphins Cheerleader. So, she's probably pretty hot.
Pro-Life, antistem cell research funding, anti-federal funding for abortions, pro-ultrasound prior to abortion rule, etc.
Pro cut-cap-and-balanced
Pro-balanced budget
Pro- line item veto
Supports amendment to prohibit same sex marriage
Eliminate taxes on capital gains - damn, I'd get back in the market if he did that!
Lower corporate tax rate to European or Canadian level
Pro foreign language curriculums in elementary schools
Pro more scholarships for colleges
Has a number of education proposals - vouchers
Against Cap and Trade
Pro alaska oil drilling
pro tax incentives for energy efficient appliances
Pro letting hybrid car drivers us HOV lanes and get discounted parking
Against EPA regulating CO2
Pro No Climate Tax Pledge
Reduce barriers to free trade
Pro second amendment
Repeal Obamacare

I'm decided to highlight the things I am opposed to. Just 'cause. :coffee:
And I suspect a great many Independents feel the same way about many of these.

I am pro choice.

I don't so much care about FUNDING for stem cell research. Plenty of private pharmaceutical and medical companies will fund their own damn research. There is money to be made there. Federal funding for abortions is, likewise, not much of an issue for me. I don't think it's the business of the federal government, really. State governments ought to do that sort of thing. I can't figure out the Article I, Sec.8 power that "paying for abortions" comes under.

I am totally against any rule that requires ultrasounds be made as a matter of law. That is a medical issue, and I would in no way have the fed telling women what medical procedures they need. Also overreaching in government.

I am for a balanced budget.

I am against a line item veto, but every President wants it.

I am against the amendment for same sex marriage.

I am in favor of low capital gains taxes, but I think they're low enough. I think the lowering of the corporate tax rate to compete with other countries is important.

I am against cap and trade, because it is a monumental boondoggle waiting to happen.

I am definitely pro Alaska drilling, and production of lots of energy.

I am against the EPA regulating CO2.

I am fine with the Second Amendment, although I do not own or want a gun. I'm pro choice on guns.

I would repeal Obamacare in a New York minute.

Look closely: increased college scholarships, foreign language curriculums in primary schools, tax incentives for energy effeciency, breaks for hybrid car owners, etc... He's got a handful of typically left-of-center opinions, which are what I agree with. Unfortunately, he's a tea party knucklehead; there's way too much on the cons list for me to be swayed by a few pros that Obama tends to have on his list already anyway.

Not to mention Obama's far more important "left of center" positions like indefinite detention and overseas assassination of U.S. citizens, eh?

Oh grow up. You're trying to get me to swing at a bs pitch in the dirt.

EDIT: Besides, I've already swung at those two subjects (which you've tried to simplify so neatly there):
