I'm not sure the pictures were 100% what development got from the film though... photoshop is more recent, picture doctoring is very old.

Women were prettier back then. All I'm saying is that before photoshop women seemed to try harder to be pleasing to the male eye. Maybe because the impossible appeared still within reach when it was just a little doctoring of the female form. Now every blemish can be annulled and women either try to look like plastic or don't try at all. This requires a seperate thread.

I'm reminded at this juncture of the Whoops Apocalypse comic, which had a skit about the Politburo, and their massively touched up "portrait" photos ... it had a series of pairings of photos, one labelled "Official Politburo Photograph", the other "Recent Western Photograph". One of these was accompanied by text which said "Official age: 78. Actual age: results of carbon dating not yet returned".
